Memorial Day!

A few families (Ford's, Traynor's, Bork's, Murphy's and the Ward's) from Saudi decided to get together for a picnic at the beach for Memorial Day. 

It was great to see everyone and catch up. 

Bethany brought her pet lizard Cowboy!

He was the attraction of the day!

After our beach reunion, we hurried home for a pool and BBQ get together with the Meservy's and Bishop Handly. Adam's family was out of town and we did not want him spending memorial day alone. We have been friends with the Meservy's for a long time. We were neighbors at Y Mount when Jon and Matt attended BYU, and Matt helped recruit Jon to DOW. They have been some great friends to us. 

Julien invited his friend Kevin over.

Chuck e Cheese

For the longest time Eden asked to go to chuck e cheese. I told him we would go to celebrate the end of the school year, and he patiently waited! This kid was in heaven when we got there! We all had a blast! Even the big kids, and their pizza is actually pretty good!

Eden's Kindergarten Graduation

Eden worked so hard this year in school.

He excelled so much especially in his reading. 

At the end of the year his reading scored at a 1.5 reading level! 

I am so proud of this little nugget of mine!

Spring Piano Recital

Tonight the kids had their spring piano recital. 

They did such a wonderful job. This was Kiki's first year playing the piano. She played Jack and the Beanstalk. After a year off, Julien and Logan started piano back with Alaina Dooley from our adjacent ward. She is an amazing teacher and has really helped the boys improve with their piano.

Logan played Beauty and the Beast, and Julien played L'Orage Op. 109 No. 13

I am so proud of them and the time and dedication they spend on developing their talents. 

I just love the sound of piano being playing in my home. 

I know one day I will miss it!
