Hello Kitty!

Today we went to the Steak House for dinner and Kiki got her face painted there!
She was so excited!

D'oh!

Last night I had one of my life's greatest top ten "D'oh!" moments.
We walk in to the steak house restaurant and I approach a group of Saudi women asking on of them.
Me (full of enthusiasm): Hey do you work at lulu?
Saudi woman: No!
Me: Oh..... You look familiar.....
Saudi women talk amongst themselves giggling
Jon: it must have been the other Saudi woman wearing the black abaya, and niqab!
Me: ..........
She really did look familiar but I must admit that the possibility of mistaken her for someone else is rather strong! Lol!

Little Ballerina

I had the opportunity to start teaching dance classes at our compound this year. Several moms had approached me about starting classes for their kids and I could not wait to get something going for  Kia Ora and me. "My little studio" boomed. I taught 6 hours a week (teaching ballet, jazz/ contemporary, hip hop, and a dance class for ladies, to about 45 students) which is pretty good for our  little compound.
Next year I committed to teach 9 classes and several people from other compounds have planned to join! I am so excited about this growth! It is great to be able to share my passion with others, and see my students improve and enjoy dancing.
Below are pictures of Kiki's dance class. I loved being able to spend some time together, creating memories, and sharing something that we both enjoy together.

Bahrain round 2!

This weekend we were "forced" into another mini outing to Bahrain to fix some visa problems.
We were delighted of course.
We thought it would be a great opportunity to go the Lost Paradise Waterpark and hit Ric's Country Kitchen for some pork eating.
Lost Paradise was a blast. We had so much fun going down slides, wading in the pool, playing and relaxing!

As we got there we saw some friends from Dhahran Aramco Compound and had fun playing a game of volleyball. Later a few others joined in on the game. It was fun!

Eden had fun playing a little ball of his own!

A turn around the lazy river put Eden right to sleep!

One of my favorite things while at the park is going on slides with Julien and Logan!
I absolutely love it! We have so much fun doing that!

After our fun in the sun we headed to Ric's where we ordered some delicious ribs! YUM!!!!
On our way back to the car a guy on a donkey passed us. I had to do a double take.
The driver and I looked at each other speechless and just started laughing.

Just a guy riding a donkey without shoes...

We hit pretty bad traffic on the causeway on our drive home.
A random guy honked at us and asked if he could give Kiki some toys.
So this lucky girls was happy as can be on the way home with her new dolls.

Somebody made themselves very comfortable in the backseat!
