Cruising with the family- day 1

For the kids spring break we decided to take the family on a 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise with Carnival making 3 stops; Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Cayman Island, and Ochos Rios, Jamaica. We were all so excited about this vacation because we needed some time away from the crazy busy day to day schedule, needed some time as a family, and we knew this would be our last big family vacation as a family for a long time since Julien is put his mission papers a few days ago and is hoping to go this summer and next year Logan plans to go as well.

Day 1: Boarding the Carnival Vista

First up shuttle ride to the boat!

Once we arrived at the dock we dropped off our luggage, filled out a medical and recent travel card due to the cover 19 situation, and got checked in. We all had our picture taken for the check-in process. Keilani refused of course! She is always so friendly.....

Upon loading they tested all of our temperatures. I was glad they were taking such precautions.

Once we were debriefed we went to the Lido deck for lunch!

I had forgotten how much selection and how delicious the food was.

We then went about the boat to see all it had to offer and get our bearings.

They had an awesome kids club and a Dr Seuss reading area which Jon had previously signed up the younger kids to.

We checked out our rooms which were located in the Family Harbor Section.

One of the things we loved about being in the Harbor Suite was that we had our own lounge where they served breakfast, lunch, dinners, drinks, snacks, soft served all day. There were video games, board games, TV's. It was very convenient!
