This past weekend we took an impromptu trip to Sea World.
I found amazing 3 day passes for Sea World and Aquatica Flex for $50 per person!
This was a deal I could not pass up. So, I got tickets, packed some clothes and we were on the road the very next day (luckily Jon had the 4th and 5th off from work)
Day 1: Sea World
Day 1: Sea World
Sesame Street was celebrating 50 years at Sea World and had set up a big park, splash pads, and rides. It was really well done.
Jon, Julien, Logan and brave little Kiki went on a huge ride called Steel Eel!
Kiki had so much fun that she went 2 times...
The second time wasn't as fun for her according to the boys...
Julien, Logan and I went on a fun ride called the Wave Breaker.
I don't typically go on rides because I'm get too scared.
But this ride was pretty mild and I actually enjoyed it.
There was this cool little place where the children could write and make shapes on a big board with neon tubes.
Jon took the littles to an arcade and got talked into waisting coins trying to win a teddy bear in those rigged claw machines.
But in the end we had some pretty happy kids
Jon, Julien and Logan went on the Great White ride.
That was the highest thill ride there.
keeping cool with some dip and dots
While these guys went on the Rio Loco river ride to stay cool.
Lunch time
After lunch we headed to the Dolphins and Beluga Whales show.
It was so cool! I can't believe how smart these animals are.
We enjoyed this show so much that we hurried to the One Ocean show featuring Killer Whales.
That was an amazing show!
Trying to keep cool
Quick stop in the Chill out zone, a 50 degree kid friendly club, where we listened to music, danced and cooled down.
Penguins encounter
by 4 pm we were pretty tired so slowly headed by to the entrance and headed back to the hotel.
We did however celebrate the 4th with a little BBQ too (quick stop at Walmart for pre-made hot dogs, microwaveable Mac and Cheese, and potato wedges.... lol
Day 2: Aquatica Flex
Aquatica Flex was a lot of fun. It was nice to have a day at the waterpark.
We got there a little before the gate opened so we could get a spot in the shade. I'm always so nervous about spending an entire day outside with the family because the kids and Jon are so sensitive to the sun and heat.
Our first stop was at Stingray Falls, a water slide we could all go on.
It took a little convincing for Keilani to go on, but I think she enjoyed it!
Or enjoyed the end of it anyway...
I love how we ended up under the stingray and manta ray aquarium.
That was so cool!
Zzzzzzz....
The big bucket is always such a hit!
little Keilani kitten
The kids enjoyed going to the wave pool quite a bit.
Kiki and I really wanted to go on a few more slides.
Jon, Julien and Logan spent the majority of the morning doing most of them while I was busily splashing with the littles, so the boys were willing to watch Eden and Keilani while Jon and I took Kia Ora on a few more slides.
First up Tassie's Twisters
We than hesitantly made our way to Wahalla Wave.
This slide had a huge half pipe.
Beautiful Kiki
Time for some sweets...
Eden and Keilani like Stingray Falls so much that they wanted to do it again one last time.
As the park was ready to close for the day we decided we were not quite done with our fun yet and decided to go to Sea World.
We watched the end of the Sesame Street parade.
We then made our way to the Journey to Atlantis ride.
There was less then a 5 minute wait. I was awesome.
Kiki was eager to go again while Eden had enough with one turn,
so Jon took Kiki a second time.
We then headed to the stadium to watch the Hydro Power and Ignite Show.
Basically 80's music with lights, fire, fireworks, boat and waterski stunts.
It was pretty cool.
Sadly Eden's ear was bothering him quite a bit so I took him and sleeping Keilani back to the car.
tired kiddos
Day 3: Trip to Urgent Care & drive home...
The night prior Jon and I went to Walmart to get some medicine to help with his ear pain.
By the next day, he was feeling even worse so we took him to an urgent care and headed home.
All in all it was a terrific family trip.
