New Braunfels with Grandma and Grandpa!

This past weekend we spent a few days with Jon's parents for some quality time with them before ... (big announcement coming up soon). We rented one of our time shares in New Braunfels, Texas. The time share was very very nice. We rented a 2 bedroom condo. It had 2 floors in, 2 living rooms, 3 bathrooms, and a pretty big kitchen.

Grandma came barring gifts as usual for everyone!

The first night we went out to a pretty good bbq place.

We spent quite a bit of time in the pool cooling off, having fun!

Kiki eager to jump in!

Grandpa was so worried about her swimming without
a life jacket that he got her this awesome puddle jumper!

The kids made a fort out of pillows, coffee tables, and chairs and couches!

We headed the downtown of the city of Gruene!
It is a very beautiful place!

Spending a little time in the shade to cool off!

Kiki pooped out!

Jon being silly as usual!

Gruene Hall is one of the oldest dance halls. Some of the biggest country stars played there, such as George Strait, The Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Little Richards.....the list goes on and on!

We also took a little drive to San Marcos and took a stroll along the San Marcos river. A lot of people float down the San Marcos river. It seemed so refreshing! Next time perhaps!

Jon let the boys slide down this very scary natural water slide.
Good thing I stayed in the car or they would have never gotten a chance to do it.

Time to say goodbye!

Before heading home we wanted to take the kids to the Schlitterbahn!
Jon's mom got us tickets.
Schlitterbahn is one of the biggest water park in the US. We were there all day and did
less than 1/10 of the attractions!
It was so much fun!

A picture of us down the lazy river (which was not lazy at all).
I look horrific in this picture, but it is the only one of us doing a ride as a family so oh well!
