BYU vs Washington

I got a ticket to BYUs season opening game against Washington. BYU is playing two new QBs, so it was good to see them both in action along with all the other new players. The game was exciting, and us students really got into the cheering. BYU beat Washington 23 to 17, close games are always fun.

Cosmo the mascot was quite entertaining, poking fun at the game officials, doing flips, and crowd surfing up our section of the stadium.

At half time LaVell Edwards presented his All American QBs to announce some new scholarships for byu. Steve Young, Ty Detmer, Bosco and others were all there together.

I hope to go to a few other games, and maybe even get to take the whole family.

Here Kia Ora is showing off the little tutus I made for her. She is so darling. I just can't stop kissing her cute face. She is an adorable baby, we are so glad to finally have her be a part of our family.

Jon earns his Blue Belt

Jon earned his Blue Belt today. He was pretty excited. Above is a picture of Jon with his Karate instructor Travis.

Here is a video of Jon's kick combo. He said he felt kind of shaky and did not do as good as he had done in the past, but I thought he did a pretty good job. His butterfly kick (the second one) look awesome.

Back to School

School has already started. I can't believe how fast the summer has come and gone. The boys were really excited to start back (I guess they must have forgotten about homework, although they have not really had a break from that since they did homework with me all summer.)

Julien is now in 4th grade. His teacher's name is Mrs. Brown. She seems wonderful. There is a Mac computer on every desk in their classroom, so 2 students share a computer. Julien's teacher is very technologically oriented (it is great since that is the way of the future). Julien is really excited about his teacher and all the cool things they are going to do this year.

Logan is in Mrs. Barlow 2nd grade class. Mrs. Barlow was Julien's 2nd grade teacher also. Logan is very happy about his class and his teacher. Mrs. Barlow has a horse and many smaller animals, Logan loves to hear the stories she tells about her pets.

I hope this year will be a good academic year for the boys where they can grow and learn to love school, and be successful.

Fishing with Dad

Jon and his friend/boss Todd took the boys fishing. They had so much fun. Jon said that the boys did really well and caught a lot of cat fish.

Julien has been bugging me to help him create his own blog for a while now. His friend RJ has one, so of course Julien thought it was cool and wanted one too. I was a little hesitant at first, but today I finally gave in. I thought that it would be great practice typing on the computer, and learning how to navigate through different program. The only downside is that I have to sit next to him to monitor and help out. He is very excited about it.
