Kia Ora is crawling

At 6 months and 3 weeks, the Kikster is crawling! She crawled 4 steps yesterday night. The rest of the night I was trying to get her to do it again so I could get it on video, but no luck until today. This little girl is a serious athlete (hopefully she will be a dancer type of athlete). Kia Ora has been sitting on her own since she was 4 months, and started rolling at 5 1/2 months. She is growing up way to fast.

Cutie update!

Here are a few shots of Kia Ora I have had on my desktop for a while now. Thought I would share them. She is the most adorable, kissable child ever (along with Julien and Logan of course). And I just love her.

Swim meet

Today Julien had a swim meet. Jon video taped his races since I had rehearsal and could not make it. He won first place in the 25 butterfly, and it seems like he beat his own record by 3 sec. (about 30 sec. for his 25 yards).
He also raced a 50 freestyle and didn't do as well. His goggles misplaced themselves during his dive in. Knowing that he would get disqualified if he stopped to fix his goggles, Julien just kept racing with his goggles at his nose. The poor kid! He still did pretty well counting the circumstance. I believe his time was ruffly 1 minute 7 seconds, only 6 sec. slower than his fastest time.

Hockey Game

Yesterday we went to see the Utah Grizzlies hockey game. It was the kids' first time going to a hockey game.  Jon is taking a hockey class at BYU this semester, so he was thrilled when he heard we were going. It was a very fun activity.

Here is a video of Kia Ora steeling the half time show:

Freezing habitat!

One our walk back to the car after swim practice, Julien looks at me and says:

"What kind of freezing habitat is this?"

It was so cute. I just looked at him and laughed. That kid is cracks me up!

Bowling!

Tonight we all went bowling at All Star Bowling in Sandy. It was so much fun to relax and spend time together.

Kia Ora enjoying spending time with Papi.

Action shots!

Jon chucks the ball. Look at how much air it gets! It scares me every time. But he is a very good bowler.

Logan loves his little sister, and he absolutely loves to make her laugh.

Valentine day Monster!

Yesterday the kids and I spent a lot of time making their Valentine Boxes for school. We brainstormed together and all thought it would be fun to make scary Valentine day Monster Boxes. So I got all my craft stuff out along with my glue gun and went to work. The boys had a lot of fun making them. Alex joined us for the fun. He made a green one-eyed monster.

My house was a complete mess once we were all done. Oh the sacrifices moms do for the fun memories their children will cherish forever.

Here is Logan's Valentine Monster!

Did you get a good one?

This morning Jon asked me to come outside with the camera. So I hurried out thinking that there was a deer in the front yard. But there was no deer in sight, just Jon scraping snow off of his car. Here is how our conversation went:

Jon: "Babe, I need you take a picture of me."
Maeva: "Okay?!? Why?"
Jon: "Because I want to remember this day. I want to remember how much I hate the snow."
Maeva: "Okay!" (I snap the picture)
Jon: "Did you get a good one?"
Maeva: "Ya sure, I got the you and the car."
Jon: "Why do you take a close up one. I want to make sure you get my facial expression."

BAHAHA!  It was so funny.

So here is the close up shot!

Sunday morning with Dad!

This morning Julien, Logan, and Jon built this cool castle I found at Hobby Lobby. It was a fun, cheap activity for them to do. They have so much fun with it. They like to pretend it to be a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and play with their Harry Potter Legos.
