#givethanks

I am grateful for Jesus Christ. For his example, teachings, love, and atoning sacrifice!

“ The Lord is my light, my all and in all. There is in his sight, no darkness at all. He is my Redeemer, my Savior, and King. With saints and with angels his praises I’ll sing. The Lord is my light; He is my joy and my song. By day and by night. He leads, he leads me along.”

#givethanks

Wonderful message from our dear prophet, President Russell M. Nelson inviting us to show gratitude over the next 7 days. I am grateful for President Nelson, and his prophetic calling to guide us at this time.  I am grateful for his words of healing, peace, hope, and love.

Don’t text and run

Don’t text and run 🏃🏼‍♀️

These past few weeks have been a little busy here! Jon has been out of town for a few weeks now and I started a yoga certification program (which is amazing!) on top of all the running around of our day to day life: household chores, school, homework, teaching, and be my kids taxi service 😉... Luckily Logan is an amazing teenager who is so helpful! I could not do it all without him.
In effort to multi task/ and cram as much I as can in as little amount of time as possible, I decided to go on a quick jog before my phone call with Julien. As I was texting him to let him know I tripped and fell pretty hard on my leg and hand.
Running as fast I do it could have been a lot worse, but it must have looked pretty funny as I saw my feet go past my head nearly touching the pavement in front of me. 😆 (On a brighter note I didn’t think my back could bend that far anymore)
Determined to get my run in before my phone call, I picked myself up and finished my last 3.5 miles. And I rocked it! ❤️💨 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🤜

Pointe class

This week was a very exciting week for me. I started a new pointe class at the studio.
🩰🩰🩰
It was a goal for me to start a pointe class at Pure Energy Dance Studio for a long time. And the time had come where girls were strong enough to get on pointe.
The girls were so excited also.
I cannot wait to see their progress and develop this new skill.

Kiki

Meet Kiki! As I was looking in Kiki’s card journal, I found this cute note she wrote. I love that she wants to grow and be faithful and righteous, kind, safe, true, good, helpful, and more good things....

truth is she already is that and much much more!

Love this beautiful human!

Endless turn arounds

Jon has been out of town for the past few weeks working on some turn around for DOW.
It has been hard to Jon be out of town for this long. It is hard on him, hard on me, and hard on the kids.
I have had to do a lot more and rely a lot more on the kids, especially on Logan.
We tried to do some FaceTime but since he is working nights and sleeping during the day it has not been easy.
Monday, Jon was able to come home for 2 days after 14 consecutive nights. Although he was still jet lagged and slept quite a bit, it was so great to have him here for a few days.
Another 14 days to go til he is home again...
Although I am complaining because it is hard, I am so grateful that he has a job and is able to provide for our family. It is a huge blessing!

Best brother ever!

Today Logan came home and called for Keilani telling her he had a surprise for her! She grinned so wide as she saw that he had brought her a pink doughnut for breakfast! Logan is an amazing brother!

St Mark Pre-K

Keilani has been in school nearly two month now and she has come a long long way. She finally started going without being pried out of my arms, using the restrooms (I used to have to go to the bathroom with her upon pick up because she refused to go), and started talking to the teachers and her peers. I am so happy with her progress and see her smile upon pick up. She now loves to go to school and looks forward to going back to school every Monday.

Criss and Ree Boutique

My cute boss and coworker started and online clothing boutique.
I am so proud of them for starting this.
They both have a great sense of style, and their boutique reflex it!

They ask the PE teachers to model for them at times.
Never thought that I'd be modeling clothing at nearly 40, but it is actually a lot of fun!

Happy Halloween

This years Halloween was a little less eventful than other years because very few houses were handing out candy and there were not very many trick or treaters out. We tried to be safe and social distance using Lacrosse sticks to retrieve and give candy. After we went around the neighborhood, we headed home where we ate pizza, ate chocolate chip cookies, and watched Casper as a family!

Some of favorite Halloween traditions from some of my friends!
My friend Georgine is a dentist and does dental visits and cleanings for her family on Halloween! lol!

My friend Daniel is an accountant and does tax lesson with his kids with the candy they got! Hilarious!

Swim meet

It is not often that I get to go see Logan race, but if I can I always like to go see him and show my support.
Today my last student never showed for her private so I rushed to the pool as fast I as could to catch his last few races.
