Moving In

It's time!!!!
Moving day has finally arrived.

I am so grateful we were able to find a house so quick, and move in so quick upon repatriation.
My dear friend Pam was our eyes and graciously went with our realtor to visit houses and even FaceTimed us while visiting since we were still in Saudi at the time. She knows us well, knows what we like and not like which was very helpful narrowing and choosing our now home.

We were grateful for the Elder's quorum coming to help us unload the truck. Since we had lived in the area before we kept a small storage worth of things. Our shipment came in a few days later.

love that Kiki and Eden were so happy to help!

Grateful for our pool in which we can cool off!!!!

No beds, no furniture means that shopping is in order!

My mom and dad flew in to see us and give us a hand while getting all moved in and organized.

Shopping day!

A new bed for Eden!
I think he loves it!

Youth Temple trip!

Jon and the boys had the opportunity to go to the Houston Temple with the youth from our stake.
It is such a blessing to be able to have the temple so close to us.

Pure Energy Show

Kiki and I had the opportunity to go see Pure Energy's end of the year recital.
It was the perfect mother daughter date, and was great to see some of my old colleges.
Pure Energy always produces a great entertaining show.

Walmart

We love shopping at Walmart.
We had pretty great shopping centers in Jubail also such as Lulu, but nothing quite compares to Walmart. We were happy to shop shop shop!

Pam

One of the best things about moving back to Texas is to be able to spend time with this amazing lady.
Pam has been one of my dearest friends since the first time we lived here.
She welcomed us back to Texas with some delicious kolaches from the Kolache Shop.

Church

First week back at church!
We are all excited to be here and see friends we have not seen in a long time!
I feel so blessed to be able to worship in a beautiful church building, something we did not have while living abroad. I am grateful for the religious freedom we have here in America!
What a wonderful Sabbath Day!

My new car!

I am so excited about my new car.
For the past 3.5 years we were driven in this very SUV, Ford Expedition.
I knew I wanted one just like it because it fit our family perfectly, roomy, and easy and comfortable to drive and ride in. I absolutely love it!

Saying goodbye is hard to do

This is it! Midhun, Unni, and Arun came to pick us up to drive us to the airport!
Leaving this beautiful place, culture, and people you care for behind is not easy to do especially when you do not know when or if you will ever see them again. I have loved how much they and so many other locals and expats have accepted my family, loved my children, and treated my family with such kindness. To all of my friends, to all my brothers, to all who make Saudi such a special place, I will truly miss you! What a beautiful adventure it was for us to be here! Til we meet again...

Nimesh and Savio, my friends from Limousina dispatch came to see us off!
It was so thoughtful of them.

The Gipsons and Collins were on our same flight home.
It was good to travel with them part of the way.

All packed up!

All packed up and ready to go!
Because we were traveling with so much luggage, I decided to take a picture of them so I remembered all that we were bringing back.
We are loaded to the max!!!!
