Happy 6th Birthday Logan!

Today, we celebrated Logan's 6th birthday. I can't believe that our youngest child is getting so big. This year has been a great year for Logan, he graduated from Kindergarten, participated in 2 soccer leagues, swimming lessons, and much much more. Logan is a very cute boy who loves his mom, dad, and brother so much. He is very kind, and oh so clever. We are so proud of him, and love him so much.

THe PaRTy!

Well...the mom wanted to do something special for this fast growing boy so she thought it would be fun to have a little get together for his birthday. The theme was batman since it is Logan's favorite super hero. I spent the night before making batman announcements, along with a delicious turtle brownie ice cream cake. UM! UM! GOOD!

My mom and I also spent quite a bit of time on the decorating. It is not perfect, but for a third cake, I think it is pretty good. Logan loved it, he thought it was cool to have Gotham City on his cake.

Once we had cake we went outside to open gifts, and play in a kitty pool and sprinklers with his friends. He was very spoiled. I think he had a really good time.

You are Here Concert

Tonight was yet again the last night of concert. It is always hard for a concert to be over, especially after rehearsing, and working so hard at perfecting dances for so long. And within the blink of an eye (about 5-10 minutes on stage, per dance) it is all over.

How it started! Well, about two months or so ago, a BYU/ UVU professor, the awesome Arwen Rogers, contacted me about a dance concert she was putting together, and the interest she had in having me be a part of it. I was of course so excited to have the opportunity to work with her, but most of all have the opportunity to dance, rehearse, and perform.

I was able to be in two of Arwen's pieces "Sports Page" which is based on the photos from the sports pages of a news paper (with the awesome facial expressions). That piece was HILARIOUS to do. I really had fun, and it pushed me do be goofy on stage which is not my "forte."

The second piece was called "Lean Back" which was about a time in your life when you feel like you need support from another individual. During this piece, I had an awesome solo at the beginning, it was actually my favorite part of the dance to do.

Holy Spidey Cake

Friday, I had the craziest idea. I wanted to get into cake decorating. So that day the kids and I picked up some supply and made a Spider-man cake. the kids had fun picking out the cake flavorings. Rolling out the fondant, making the little spiders, and cutting out the eyes. I thought it turned out pretty good, don't you?

The boys enjoying their master piece.

Happy 4th, Lagoon style!

Every year, Jon and I have talked about going to Lagoon with the kids, but we hadn't for at least 3 or 4 years because it is so expensive, and far away. But this time around we got discounted tickets. Score! We had so much fun, Thiefaine and Alex even got to come with us.

T taking Logan on the "Space Scrambler."

Jon and Logan on the "OdySea" ride, making Jon's signature hard core facial expression (stolen from the band "Kiss.") Even though that ride was definitely not hard core.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of Jon. Classic, So Goofy!

What a crazy kid! Julien loved to go on rides. Nothing scared him. Not even "Colossus", the ride with the 2 giant loops. He also claims that his favorite ride was the screamer which he went on twice. And let me tell you the screamer was well named.

The ride would go around at a rapid speed, then the arm of the ride would lift up and would turn perpendicular to the ground. How could anyone enjoy that?

After lunch, the sky started to clear up and the sun began to shine. So we headed for Lagoon A Beach to cool off. The boys loved to go down the slides with the tubes.

Julien floating down "Mooches Main Stream."

Alex and Logan relaxing on the tubes.

Once we were done cooling off, the boys decided to do more roller coaster riding.

The boys on the "Wild Mouse" ride

"Tidal Wave." I love Alex's face on this one.

"The Jet Star." Check out Julien's face, he looks like he has just seen a ghost!

Logan is a pretty crazy kid too when it comes to riding roller coaster. He was so disappointing when he was too small to ride the rides. But he was able to sneak into some such as "the Roller Coaster", and "the Spider". "The Spider" was his favorite one, he tried to go a second time, but the second time around the lady working the ride told him "no tippy-toes."

Alex and Julien wondering what they got themselves into.

Here we are on the resting on leg while on the "Sky Ride."

T won an Electric Guitar with a game of bottle ring toss. After just a few tosses he succeeded, how impressive! He tried again after that with no luck. The lady working the booth said that there had only been 4 winners all day including him. It was a pretty tough game. Good Job T!

WICKED
Jon and T went on the craziest ride at Lagoon called "Wicked." That ride was truly insane. Just looking at the track made my knees buckle. They loved it so much they went on it twice. Jon lost his voice from screaming while on the ride.

If you look hard enough you can see Jon and T in the middle of the front row, looking terrified.

'Twas a long long day, but a fun day to remember!

Today, Thiefaine went though the Temple to get his endowments. He was so cute, and so excited. It was great to be there with him experience something so special.

Raphael is going to.....

...the Montreal Canada Mission.

He is pretty excited and we are too. The strangest part of his call is not the fact that he too is going to a french speaking mission, but that he will be speaking Haitian Creole. What a mix, Canadian French, and Haitian Creole!
We are so proud of you Raph. You are going the be a great missionary.
It will be a long two years not to have you around. We love you very much.
